Privacy policy

Summary

We do not store your photo. It is processed once to produce your analysis and then discarded. Results stay in your browser unless you choose to save them, and a saved result never includes the photo.

Your photo

When you choose a photo, your browser resizes and re-encodes it, which removes embedded metadata such as location. Nothing is uploaded until you select Analyze.

Our server first checks the image and measures its exposure and color balance. A photo that is too dark, too bright or too strongly tinted is refused on our server and goes no further. Any other photo is sent for analysis and held in memory only for the duration of that request. We do not write your photo to a database, to file storage or to our logs.

Third-party processing

To produce a color reading, your prepared photo and our analysis instructions are sent to a Grok model (identifier grok-4.6) through aicode.cat, a third-party API gateway, and from there to its upstream model provider. How those services handle the data is governed by their own terms, which we do not control. We cannot guarantee that they delete images immediately or never retain them.

If you would rather not send a photo, the questionnaire gives a result without one.

Your results

Results stay in page memory unless you select Save. Saving stores the season and its explanation in this browser's local storage; it never stores the photo. Delete a saved result from the result page, or clear this site's data in your browser settings. A shared link contains only a season name, never your photo or your personal analysis.

Infrastructure and logs

The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes IP addresses and request metadata to deliver pages and apply rate limits. Our operational logs do not record uploaded photos, credentials or analysis text.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are visited and how the site is used. It records page views, the referring site, your device and browser type, and your approximate location, which Google derives from your IP address without storing the address itself. It may set cookies such as _ga. We never send your photo, your color results or your analysis text to Google Analytics.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics cookies are off by default, so Google Analytics receives only cookieless signals from visitors there. Anywhere, you can block these cookies in your browser settings or install Google's opt-out add-on.

We do not use advertising.

Age

The service is for adults. Use only your own photo, and only if you are 18 or older.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
